Scoring format – Stableford points on double peoria format over 18 holes

The Peoria System is a 1-day handicapping system for tournaments in which most of the golfers do not have real handicap indexes.

How does the double peoria handicap system works?

Scoring on stableford points

The scoring in Stableford competitions is made by points awarded in relation to a fixed score (gross or net par) at each hole as indicated below:

More than one over par or no score returned: 0

The higher the points the better the score of the golfers.

Awards and prizes:

During the regional rounds, golfers will be divided into the following categories:

In the event of a tie, the better net score of handicap holes 1-18 in that order will decide the winner. The selection of holes takes place in accordance with the course's handicap holes with the most difficult hole followed by the second most difficult hole, etc. If there is still a tie, the winner will be decided by a monster putt challenge.

The net scores will be converted to stableford points. The golfer with the most stableford points is adjudged as the winner. In the event of a tie, there is a countback of stableford points made, first on the back 9 of the course (9/6/3/2/1) and if the tie still persists then the front 9 of the course (9/6/3/2/1).

If there is still a tie, the winner will be decided by a monster putting competition on the putting green.
